Jou Jou’s Caribbean Cuisine began not in a kitchen, but during a conversation with friends and travel buddies while sitting on Seven Mile Beach in Negril, Jamaica. We were chopping it up about the diverse ethnic influences in Caribbean cuisine. We talked about food, how it connects people, carries memory, and tells stories.
Although from different Caribbean island backgrounds, we were surprised by the commonalities in our cultures that were rooted in our shared African ancestry, and by how food was central to our socialization and family interactions.
That conversation didn’t end on the beach. It continued throughout our stay in Jamaica and quietly ignited a suppressed passion for food and cooking that began in my grandmother’s kitchen, and over Sunday dinners with the extended family.

Our Approach
Every dish reflects both Haitian and Jamaican traditions. Bold spices, slow-cooked meats, fresh tropical ingredients. We make everything from scratch, honoring recipes passed down through generations while adding our own twist.
As a mobile catering company, we serve events with or without our food trailer and vend at special events throughout Metro Atlanta. Our baked goods line has become a favorite in its own right, including rich bread puddings and tropical cheesecakes.
What We Believe
Food tells stories. It sparks conversation. It brings people together around a shared table—even when that table is at a park, a backyard, or a corporate event.
At Jou Jou’s, we believe great catering isn’t just about feeding people. It’s about creating moments they’ll remember. Serving dishes that leave them wanting just one more bite. And honoring the heritage, partnership, and passion that brought this dream back to life.

Joanne’s Haitian heritage is woven into every aspect of Jou Jou’s, from the menu to the name itself. Her passion for Caribbean cuisine was ignited in her grandmother’s kitchen and shaped by Sunday dinners with extended family.
Today, she brings that same warmth and tradition to every event Jou Jou’s caters.
